Spring is almost here! March 20th is the day!! But boy what a nice winter we have had. I know that we needed more moisture, but I sure did enjoy the mild weather. With Spring just around the corner it makes me thing of grilling! It is just hard to beat a good steak grilled to perfection, yum! One of my all time favorite dishes are kabobs! Juicy steak bites, vegetables, and you get to eat it with your hands!
Here is a scrumptious recipe for Kabobs:
Ingredients:
Bamboo Skewers
Kabob Meat Bell Peppers
Onions
Mushrooms
(or anything else you would like to try on there!)
Seasoning:
Really, it's whatever you want. I love Soy sauce, Alpine touch, etc... that all depends on what you like. We also smoke ours on a Treager so we can season them with wood chips. You can also try doing different groups with different seasonings!
Soak Skewers: Place the bamboo skewers in a plate with water and soak them for 15 minutes.
Prepare for Baking: Set the oven to BROIL and line a baking sheet with foil. Or set Grille or smoker for use.
Season: However you'd like to season it. You can marinate, or simply season, or no season if desired.
Assemble Kabobs: Remove your skewers from the water and thread them with the prepared vegetables and steak.
Broil: Transfer the kabobs to your prepared baking sheet and roast them in the oven for 5 minutes. Flip them over and continue to cook for 4 to 5 more minutes, or until the internal temperature of the steak reaches 135˚F to 140˚F. Or if on a grill, transfer the kabobs to the grill or smoker and cook accordingly.
Garnish & Serve: Remove your kabobs from the oven and garnish them with your choice of garnish, serve your kabobs with any dips of your choice and enjoy!
